WASHINGTON LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
"On September 23 - 26, our state officer team was able to make the most out of such an amazing opportunity provided by the International Executive Council. We traveled to our nation's capital for four days as we partook in the 17th annual Washington Leadership Academy. The program allowed us to meet many other delegations from not only around the nation, but worldwide. Throughout the first two days, we worked through several leadership training sessions, learning more about HOSA and ourselves in order to better serve the Missouri HOSA delegation. We covered a range of topics including: personal character strengths, team-building, Be the Match, and even preserving the brand of HOSA all around. That being said, our team was also super excited to take part in the Twilight Tour, IEC social, and general sessions as we got to experience DC and network even more with everyone! Speaking on behalf of your whole state officer team, WLA has been one our most prized experiences and we truly hope to bring back everything we have gained to our own events, conferences, and outreach!"

Every year, HOSA-Future Health Professionals hosts a capstone leadership experience for HOSA officers and members providing unique experiences through experiential learning, real-world applicability, and networking.
HOSA invites all State Officers and Local Chapter Leaders to join us in Washington, D.C. for the 16th Annual Washington Leadership Academy (WLA). WLA features dynamic workshops and interactive activities to teach HOSA leaders to be better advocates of HOSA’s mission and vision. This action-packed experience is the highest level of leadership development for HOSA-Future Health Professionals.
